Thomas R Kirstein, Founder and Managing Member, CPA, CAM, AFSB
Tom began his career in accounting working as a Staff Auditor for Barnett Banks of Florida. He subsequently secured a position with Aetna Casualty and Surety Company as a Surety Underwriter, handling the surety bond programs for some of Florida's most prestigious contractors. Before opening T.R. Kirstein & Company, Tom worked several years in Public Accounting and as the Controller for a very prominent developer in Collier County. From this experience he not only gained the knowledge and insight of Construction and Real Estate Development accounting but also the skills of accounting and reporting for Condominium and Homeowners Association.
Tom brings to the firm a wealth of experience and education in the areas of construction accounting, surety bonding and condominium & homeowners association accounting.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Florida with an undergraduate degree in Finance and received his MBA from the University of Tampa. Tom is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. He also maintains a Community Association Management license and a Property & Casualty Insurance license in the State of Florida. He is a member of the AICPA, FICPA, FSA and holds an AFSB designation.
